The MHS is pleased to offer its lantern tour again this year. These popular tours will take place on Saturday, November 8, from 5 to 9 pm, starting at Lee’s Academy, located at 14 Meeting House Lane. Our youth reenactors will tell the true stories of five historical Madison citizens from the Civil War era. Discover their bravery, heartache, and commitment to the Union cause.

Hear the captivating stories of Captain Samuel Willard, Emilie Ely, Rev. Samuel Wheelock Fiske, Chloe Wilcox, and Talcott Bradley. Their experiences will transport you back in time and will stay with you long after your tour ends. Designed for listeners ages 10 to 110, the tours will begin at 5:00 pm at Lee’s Academy, offered in 20-minute intervals. At the conclusion of each tour, light refreshments will be served. This event takes place rain or shine.
