Archiving the Present for Future Scholars

At the Madison Historical Society, we believe people will study this historic period until—and beyond—the next century.

All contributors are giving the Madison Historical Society permission to archive each contribution and to share the contribution with the general public for educational purposes.

Future MHS use may include select printed materials or physical or online exhibitions.

All contributors will retain the legal copyright for present and future use of this original material.

Each contributor must be the original creator of the material offered to the MHS COVID-19 Pandemic Archive. The MHS understands that all material is being voluntarily offered to the Madison Historical Society for its permanent use in its collection. If at any time a contributor wishes to withdraw such copyrighted material, requests for removal must be made in writing to director@madisonhistory.org.

The Madison Historical Society may use its discretion to dispose of any material inappropriate for this archive.

All children under the age of 18 require adult consent to participate, so parents and guardians should send an email to director@madisonhistory.org, confirming adult permission to document all youth responses. Please tell us the first name and age of the youth contributor, and let us know that as the legal guardian of the youth contributor, you give the MHS permission to use the uploaded voice memo, written work, photograph, song, or artwork.
