A hand-painted, simple pine box with red tulip decoration dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. The box originally belonged to Chloe Scranton (Bushnell) mother of Cornelius Bushnell and was most likely part of a dowry. The box was purchased at auction in 2011 and returned to the Allis-Bushnell House.
